PPT 2004: Arial 10 acting funny

M

MacKatt

In Powerpoint 2004, when using Arial 10point, the letter "s" is squished with
the next letter. For example, when I type "transition", the "s" and the "i"
would be placed so they would be touching one another.

The Arial used is the Arial that Office 2004 for the Mac installs. If the
font is changed to a different point (say 8, 11, 12, 14, etc.), the problem
is lessened, though not necessarily solved. The problem does not occur in
Word 2004.

Anybody have any explanation for this phenomenon?
