I believe that the manner in which text box default alignment is
'remembered' has been broken in 2004. What I cannot get to stick is to
make a new text box LH justified...it insists on being center
justified. In past times, one would use the text tool to describe the
left to right distance that you wanted for the text and then it would
type into that distance, from the left. Now, it starts in the middle
and the box grows. Right clicking and setting AutoShape Default, when
happy, does not seem to work.
How can I set the text box creation and alignment behavior like PPT
has always been? I seem to also have managed to create shapes with no
lines in the process of trying to fix the text box problem! Am I the
only one mystified that MS would break something so fundamental?
