I have transferred some PPT presentations created in PPT 97-2003 to PPT 2007.
I use animations to present one piece of information at a time. There may
be five or six pieces of information on each slide. When I open the slide
presentation, all the text on that slide is visible in black font. I think
this is to do with compatibility problems between the earlier version and the
2007 version. I applied shadow to the text using the 'shadow' option in the
formatting menu on the 97-2003 version.
In order to correct this problem I have to manually remove the shadow from
the text in each text box. I figured that would get rid of the old
formatting and then I could re-apply shadows using the 'text effects' option
in the 2007 version. No such luck, the shadowing I applied still appears on
the slide before the actual text does.
I have had to do the same with slides I transferred from my old desktop to
my new laptop, whch also has PPT 2007 installed. This is extremely irritating
and a complete was of my time. Please does anybody have a solution? I tried
using the "Free" help available on Microsoft Online, but as usual, I got so
far and then had to pay if I wanted to actually get info on how to fix it.
