PPT 2008 generate bad PDFs

We have a number of PPTs that work fine in PPT 2004 when printing to PDF. But when opened in PPT 2008 and print to PDF is chosen the resulting PDF has token errors in Adobe Reader 8 (on Windows and Mac). Preview does not show the errors. The error is "Token Type not recognized"

My boss is having the same issue on his machine, the funny thing is I have no problem generating PDFs on mine and we have the same setup.
