PPT 3 Read only file

I am attempting to copy a pp file to cd and appear to have no problems. The
copied file works OK from the cd.
However, I need multiple copies, so attempted to copy to DVD-R. The program
wouldn't allow me, so I copied the file using firstly Windows then Roxio. The
file copies OK but when used on another computer, it shows as a read only
file.
How can I copy to a DVD-R so that it does not create a read only file.

Files on CDs & DVDs are Read Only - period :) They can't be opened for
editing on that type of media so they are automatically marked that way.
Besides, that's what the "R" in DVD-R stands for - Read [as opposed to
DVD-R/W (Read/Write)].

Copy the file to a Hard Drive, Control/Right-Click that copy & select Get
Info, then change the Ownership & Permissions to Read & Write.

BTW - I get the impression that you may be working with a Windows PC whereas
this is the group for PPt on the Macintosh. The only difference if that's
the case is that when you right-click the file choose Properties, then clear
the Read Only checkbox.

For future reference (if you are using a PC) the Win Office groups are here:
