Once I have embedded a picture into a PowerPoint presentation as a
background, can I extract it or amend it?

Once I have embedded a picture into a PowerPoint presentation as a
background, can I extract it or amend it?

That depends on how you embedded the picture.

(a) Did you tell powerpoint to make the picture 'the background'?
(b) Or did you simply put the picture on the 'slide master' ?

If it's (a), then you can create a blank slide, and the press the magic key
combination on your mac to grab the screen. Then save the image to another
piece of software that handles pictures.

If it's (b) you can select the image and copy and paste it.

To edit the picture you will need something like photoshop or similar.

Hi,

In PowerPoint 2004 (and maybe X) you can control-click on a picture and
choose to save it as a picture in your choice of several file formats.

From there you can open it in a graphic editing program to manipulate it.
