PPT changes the link paths

I have a ppt that will be hosted on a web-server.
I put relative links that point some files in upper directories.
For example, ../../../filename.doc

When I save and close, the path is chagned to:
...\..\..\filename.doc

Is there a way to force the PPT to keep the forward slash?

I don't believe that it makes a difference in the operation of the path
name.
