ppt created in mac powerpoint2004 wont open in ppt 2003 on xp

i get the following error message when i try to open the file on my pc:
"powerpoint can't open [location adn file name] because part of the
file is missing"

i am creating the ppt in powerpoint 2004 for mac version 11.2
(050714). i am trying to open it in powerpoint 2003 (11.5529.5606)

any help is much appreciated. thanks

On the PC side, choose Help, Check for Updates and apply whatever patches are
offered. 2003 as shipped has file open problems. The patches fix that and
other stuff.

If that doesn't do it, let's look at how the file got from Mac to PC?
What method did you use?
