PPT file hangs

I'm using PPT97 and, with several of my larger files, the
file hangs when I open it until I minimize and re-maximize
the file. Then it works just fine.

Any suggestions as to how to resolve this? I provide these
files to several other employees and this is becoming an
annoyance to them.

This might be a video driver issue.
