.ppt file recovery

hi there,

my problem: I restarted without closing the .ppt file, now I can't open it because "part of the file is missing"

can somebody help?

Have you tried launching the program & using File> Open rather than
dbl-clicking the file icon. AutoRecover may be able to reconstruct the file.

If not, go to:

User/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 AutoRecovery

See if there is a file named PowerPoint Temp. If it's there, dbl-click it &
see if it opens enough to save the recovered data.

Otherwise, Sorry, but if the file is that badly damaged there's little
likelihood of recovering it. Your best bet is to get it to a PC running
Office 2003/2007. They may be able to recover at least most of what was
saved prior to quitting the program but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
