PPT files between Mac and PC (NOT Red X for a change!)

John Cole

Hi. I have a lot of Powerpoint XP for windows files which
are going to be presented using a mac powerbook with
Office X.

Everything works lovely and I'm really glad I bought a
mac EXCEPT:

The line spacing for text boxes changes. It seems to be
larger when the files are loaded on the mac. Particularly
bad for Comic Sans font, even though it appears to be
installed on both PC and MAC. When I adjust the line
spacing and transfer back to pc, the line spacing now
appears too small.

This is a real pity beacuse I don't want to have two
versions of every presentation.

Please help. Many thanks. John.

Hi John,

It has been rumored that Office 2004 supports fonts differently (Unicode)
from earlier versions.

When 2004 becomes available try again and see how it goes.

Hello Jim.

Many thanks for your advice. We have sent off for our
free upgrade since we only recently bought a mac.
Preying this will fix everything!

Regards, John.
