PPT for MAC and FLASH

L

Leslie

Hello,

I'm currently attempting to insert a FLASH file into a PPT (MAC)
presentation and I'm getting a message that PPT doesn't recognize
FLASH.

Is there a way to insert FLASH into PPT MAC presentations?

I apologize - as I'm sure you have seen this question before...
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

First, try opening your Flash file in QuickTime. PowerPoint gives the
job of displaying Flash to QuickTime, so if it plays OK in QuickTime you
at least have a chance.

If it won't play in QuickTime, then PowerPoint won't be able to handle
the flash file internally as a movie.

If it does play in QuickTime be aware that there are some problems with
QuickTime and PowerPoint 2004.

For the time being I would recommend that instead of inserting the flash
file that you hyperlink to the file instead.

Hi Leslie,
I have had good luck with flash in PPT by saving my Flash files down to
version 5. I think Flash is ahead of QuickTime, so the newer versions do not
play well depending on your movie.
