I've chosen a slide layout and it has a white strip down the side with what looks like print markings. how do I get rid of it.
This is a easy one: go to Toolbox menu and at the bottom of the Palette tools you will see a box and to the right it says: Hide Background Graphics
Check that box and it will get rid of the white bar next to your slide. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do it for all slides at one time, so I had to check the box individually for each slide.
