PPT v.X unexpectedly quits

I'm running a 19 slide presentation on 500mhz G3 iBook with 256MB RAM.
It's a very basic presentation with audio file (mp3/song) from my
iTunes library playing throughout. It goes off without a hitch until
slide 18 and unexpectedly quits each time in the same spot: a text box
fades in. Each slide previous to that includes the very same basic
animation of text boxes fading in at timed intervals. I'm not sure
where to go from here. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Try deleting and re-creating the text box.
If that doesn't help, try a different entry effect - something other than a
fade, just to see if it helps.

I did what you suggested and even tweaked the timing. It unexpectedly
quit again... I've concluded that the program shuts down not at the
entry effect or particular text box, but at a particular point in the
audio file (towards the end of the song, but there is still more to
go...). I can play the entire song via iTunes without a problem. Any
ideas? Thanks for the help thus far...

Weird. But however weird, process of elimination is the way to go here.

Simplest first: delete and re-add the sound and test. If that doesn't fly ...

Delete the sound, see if it still flops.

Then add a different sound at the same point and test with that.

Try the same sound saved as a different format (might have to re-rip it to iTunes,
I'm not sure.

Seems something perhaps was corrupted in the audio file - I
re-imported the file from my CD and it seems to be working fine and
hopefully no glitches from here on out. Thanks for the helpful
suggestions.
