PPT Viewer 2003 links break after being clicked

I am preparing a tutorial CD for distribution with ppt viewer 2003:

Op Sys: windows XP,
# of slides: 75 slides,
# of links: 50 action buttons on the slide master,
total storage space used for links: 1.6 KB (using FixLink software
recommended by Steve Rindsberg),
total ppt size 8.5 MB,
Movie files: 20 WMV version 9

The ppt is interactive and all slides are linked to each other or to video
files (20 short movies in WMV format) using action buttons. I have also used
a starter slide (slide transition time set at automatically after 0:00
second) prior to those slides that are linked to movie files in order to
reset them if someone would like to go back to review the slides again.
Everything works well in ppt but when I run the program with ppt viewer
2003, some of the links start breaking after I have clicked them at least
once. Also, some of the starter slides which are set to advance automatically
after 0:00 second, stop working and freeze.
Does any one can help?

Hi Glen,
Thanjs for the info.
It seems that the number of links are not a problem as I have used only 1.6
KB of the storage space out of 32 KB. The links work ok but when I try to go
back to some of the slides which have starter slide, the starter slide do not
advance.
If I exit the show and run the show again, some other starter slides stop
advancing.
Any idea why some of the slides which have been set to advance automatically
after 0:00 second would stop the second time I try to review them?
