Software:
Powerpoint Presentations developed with PP2002 exported
into IE5+ HTML format using PPT HTML export feature.
These were exported into HTML for viewing without
downloading large packages that could be altered. 15
packages ranging from 6-35Mb each.
Delivery:
IntraNet to several different system combo's:
Win98se/Office97 and Win2000pro/Office2000. (not www)
Situation:
HTML package run's fine locally.
When delivered via IntraNet, systems want additional MS
packages. Not all users are allowed WWW access, so
packages must be available for download locally.
B U T . . . .
HTML's will not run on Win98se machines unless the user
downloads: msorun.exe.
HTML's will not run on Win2000pro machines unless user
downloads: ActiveX package (currently unknown what
package).
Problem:
OK, 2 separate DL package's, one for each system.
However, if a Win2000pro user downloads the msorun.exe
package, system locks while trying to load HTML's!
It would be nice to deliver these silently and run the
HTML's or just 1 package for all.
2. Question(s):
1. Is there 1 MS package that will address these MSO HTML
files running on all our systems? (Ie: 1 download for
all) Hopefully the ActiveX file 2000 wants!
2. If we must deliver 2 separate packages, any idea what
ActiveX pkg Win2000/Office2000 systems want to download?
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated -
THANKS in advance!

know. Since it was a PP development I thought I'd ask for
help here first)
