PPt2003 - Slides transition back to first slide

I have a PP presentation that was given to me. In the presentation, slides
are set to move from one slide to the next by clicking on the mouse. This
works fine for all of the pages except the ones with an action bottom (home)
which has been defined to go to slide 2. On these slides, the transition
goes back to slide 1 before I can click on the action button, usually after a
matter of seconds or movement of the mouse (or so it seems).

I have tried a number of things but none seem to work. Frankly I'm at the
point of starting from scratch but thought I would see what others might
suggest that I haven't already tried.

Could the action button have a MOUSEOVER hyperlink to first slide??

That's what it was. Until I peeled off the background color, I couldn't see
the thing but there was a large "text type" box over the action button and
about two inches around it. Removed that and the problem went away.
