PPVIEW32.EXE not a 32 bit application

I have installed the PPT 97 viewer to use with a 3rd party software. The
viewer works fine in the software for a while and then the quits working. The
3rd party software says that I do not have the viewer installed and I can get
a copy from MS website.

I have reason to believe this is a viewer issues and not the 3rd party
software b/c when you click on the PPT viewer from the start menu (after the
software says I dont have the viewer installed anymore), I get an error
message not PPTVIEW32.EXE is not a 32 bit application.

I have to uninstall and reinstall the viewer to get it to work again. and it
may work for 10, 20, 30 mins. I never know when its going to die on me. After
I reinstall, I can start the viewer manually or through the 3rd party
software.

Please help
(if anyone's interested the 3rd party software is called MediaShout and I
have been acroos their site with no mention of this problem. All I do know is
the 2003 viewer is not compatiable.)

I recommend that you write to the third party vendor. The PowerPoint 97 Viewer,
which I've used extensively, has never displayed this problem. It actually
sounds like the software (MediaShout) is somehow corrupting the Viewer.
