ppviewer cannot open file

PPviewer cannot open the file "POWERPOINT.PPT" because the file was created
in a Powerpoint version the viewer does not support. What do I do next?

Try the 2003 Viewer.

I did from the beginning. When I tried to open ppviewer, the message I got
was the one I posted. I'm trying to watch a my daughters graduation and
can't seem to get any further with it.

Do you know what version of PPT the presentation was created in?
