Pre-formatted e-mail

I have been using EUDORA for 10-15 years and am now in the process o
converting to Outlook. One of the key things I have in EUDORA i
pre-formatted e-mail forms. These are set up with a subject line, c
line addresses and a body of text. All I do is insert the "To" line an
a salutation and send it. I use them for prospect referrals (I supervis
a number of units in three states of a youth program - the US Naval Se
Cadet Corps, and receive prospects daily that I must refer to th
closest unit). I have to have one of these for each unit in order t
forward contact information to the prospect.

My problem is that I have found no way to do this in Outlook. This i
why I have not converted fully and hang on to EUDORA - I must have thi
process, so how do I do it in Outlook?

There is no answer in "Stationery" as those are all blank and creatin
a new one does not allow me to enter any text. (Also, I hate usin
Stationery because it always gives a double space line when using th
"return" key on a short line when I often only want a single space lin
- and there is no way I've found to change that!)

Thanks

Joh

In Outlook, hit F1 and search help on "templates". You compose the
e-mail that you want to repeat and then save it as a template. Then you
open the template when you want to send one like it.

You can use the signature feature for that. You need to have one of the
sigs assigned to your account and you can right click on the sig and
change it to any of the other sigs you have.

In addition to templates as VanguardLH suggests, you can also use Draft
messages. Compose your message with as much informaiton as you wish and
save it to the Drafts folder. When you want to send it out, select the
message, click Forward and fill in the extra information you're adding.
Click Send. If you open the draft and send instead of Forward, it will be
removed from the Drafts folder.

Thanks for all your replies. I used Vangard's suggestion and it works
great for me, though I see some future usefulness in the other two
methods as well.
