precondition failed

When I attempt to send email messages, I receive an error message that says
"precondition failed." I have searched to find the meaning of this and/or
how to fix it, but I have found absolutely nothing. Can you please tell me
what it means, what causes it, and what is needed to fix it? Thank you so
much!

Which version of Outlook? What kind of email acct? If you're trying to use
Office's Outlook for HTTP mail (web mail) use Outlook Express or your browser

Hi Mary!

I'm using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP1, part of Microsoft Office
Professional Edition 2003. My email accounts are both hotmail addresses. I
don't get the error message when I reply to an email or when I send a new
email to one or two people. I get the message when I try to forward messages
or send new messages to more than two people. I have taken the messages out
of the outbox and put them in the drafts folder. Sometimes hours later I try
to send them again and they are fine, sometimes it takes a day or two before
the system will let me send them, but eventually, the do send. I am very
grateful for your help with this. I know others who use Outlook for their
hotmail addresses and they don't have any problems.
