Predecessor task finish date is not getting affected

Hi,
Iam having a custom screen where i enter task_finish_date for a project task.
I am able to successfully update the task_finish_date in msp_tasks table of
project server database.
Problem is , i have a task which has the updated task as predecessor.
When i open mpp my updated finisg date is being reflected properly, but its
predecessor task finish date is not being reflected.
Please help me in this issue.

If you update actuals for a Task, its predecessor never change by design.
Predecessors drive Successors, not the other way around.

Hi Gill,
Sorry i wrote my question wrongly. Infact my question was the successor
tasks date is not being reflected when predecessor task date is changed in
data base.
but i also found the solution for that. I have set the edit flag as 1 after
which it worked fine.
