Yes ... it can have numerous predecessors (and numerous successors).

Just position the cursor over the Gantt bar for the predecessor task until
you see a four-headed arrow. Press and hold the LeftMouseButton and drag
down to the Gantt bar for the successor task. You'll see a little
chain-link when you are over the bar. Release the mousebutton.

Using the keyboard:
1. click on the task name for the precessor task.
2. several steps:
2a. Press-and-hold the Control key
2b. Click on the successor task
2c. Press the F2 key
2d. Release the Control key.
3. Repeat for each predecessor task linking to the successor task.

If you double-click on the link you'll see a pop up that lets you define a
lag, change the link type or delete it.
