predecessors and successors

Hi all,
When linking tasks should every task have a predecessor and successor and
what is the impact if it does not ??

Hi Swabo,

The very definition of linking tasks means that you are trying to establish
a relationship between two tasks on the project plan.
Without a a predecessor and successor relationship, I am not certain Project
will understand or know that the tasks are linked.

For project to understand that the tasks are linked, the tasks will need to
have a predecessor and successor defined.

Cheers

Hi,

If a task does not have a predecessor, it will be planned to start at the
start of the project (or at its constraint start)
If a task does not have a successor it will not drive other tasks.

Hope this helps,
