I am trying to find a way to predict values of Y for a
given X based on least-squares fit of (2nd or 3rd degree)
polynomial equation to data. LINEST() and LOGEST() do
regression analyses with linear and log relationships,
then predict. TRENDLINES do the regression analysis on
graphed data, and you can display the coefficients. I
want to have the coefficients used to generate Y's for
given X's in worksheet cells.
