Although I have never changed my preferences, spreadsheets I recently
created have been showing up as "read-only" when I open them to add or
delete information. I keep going back into the "get info" and
correcting the ownership details but they seem to go back to the <read
only> setting on their own.

Hi Lonnie,

Try running Disk Utility in the Applications > Utilities folder. Have Disk
Utility repair permissions on your computer and see if that helps.

If you're the same "Lonnie" that posted to the Office ng, it may be
[probably is] the 10.1.9 update that's causing your problem. See the posting
from Diane Ross in that ng, but you basically have 2 options:

1- Endure until the new update is released, or
2- Remove & reinstall Office X, then apply the 10.1.8 update.

All of this is detailed in Diane's post.
