prefill subject and TO: field in a .msg file

I'm trying to create a prefilled message on a website.

I've tried exporting a .msg file from outlook with an attachment, and the TO
and SUBJECT fields filled in.

but when i link to the .msg file the message opens up with the attachment
but the TO and SUBJECT fields are blank.

i also know how to prefill the TO and SUBJECT lines using a
"mailto:...&...&" but i can't seem to attach a file.

can anyone help me on this one?

Thx
kevin

Honestly, I would do it all on the server, much like any web based mail
(hotmail, gmail) rather than be dependent upon things on the users machine
working properly.

But, if the message will always have the same attachment, and the To field
is going to be filled in already, why even send the attachment? Wouldn't
the person on the To line already have it?

thanks for the link.

i actually would like to also attach a document to the email, but i'm not
sure how to do that with the mailto commands. it might not even be
possible...

i know how to save a .msg file but it doesn't allow me to prefill subject/to
fields. is there any way to somehow combine the two methods (.msg file with
mailto: commands)?

thx!
