prefix + before the telephonenumber

When I sync my mobilephone whith Outlook I loose the prefix + infront of the
telephonenumber - example +4640453324.
I need the prefix to be able to use my cellphone.

What shall I do to solve this ?

What software do you use to sync your phone to Outlook?
Does the data in Outlook itself change, or does the + just not carry over to
the phone?
