Prepare or Not Prepare? Why or why shouldn't I prepare my documen

Hi, I'm using powerpoint 2007 and have noticed a function that allows one to
prepare a document for distribution.

Why or why not do any of the following:

Inspect the Document, Encrypt, Add Digital Signature, Mark As Final, Run
Compatibility Checker.

What are these features? Pros and cons.

Is this homework or curiosity?

If it is homework, read the assigned reading material.
If it is curiosity, search the help in PowerPoint.

Most of them are pretty self explanatory as to their function and benefit.
The only real gray area is "compatibility" is between 2007 and previous
versions of PowerPoint.
