Preparing to Install Message Every Time I Start FrontPage 2003

Each time I start FrontPage 2003, I have a brief "Preparing to Install"
message appear on the screen. It disappears after a few seconds and I then
have access to FrontPage. I also have Office 2007 installed on my Windows XP
Pro system.

I tried uninstalling FrontPage and then got the message that an uninstall
program or routine could not be found -- "the installation source could not
be found."
Any idea what I can do about that so I can uninstall and reinstall the
program. I was thinking that perhaps doing that would get rid of the
"preparing to install" message.

I'm not sure about this but I think FrontPage 2003 was originally installed
when I installed an earlier version of Office. I know I've installed Office
XP in the past and maybe an earlier version or later version. I've lost
track of which Office version came in which order.

I'd appreciate any help on this issue. Thanks much.

Try running a Repair (from control panel or in FP - Help - Detect & Repair)

I recently set up a new Dell pc with XP Professional and Office 2007. I
installed everything via administrator account then accessed FrontPage 2000
via “user†account. I experience the same problem. I changed my user
account into an administrator account. After doing this, I didn’t get the
error. Instead it asked for my FrontPage cd. It quickly installed
something. I changed my account back to a user account. This solved my
problem—FrontPage opens with no problems.

Thanks for this tip, Manuel, but when I installed FP originally, I was
logged on as the administrator and that's the only log-on identity I have on
this home computer.

Since posting my first message, I've tried installing FP from the original
CD and have also tried uninstalling it via the Add/Remove Programs applet in
the Control Panel. I get the same message each time.

I sure could use some solution on this one!
