prereqs for project server

Hi,

Someone was telling me you need to have SPS (portal server) to run project
server. Is this true? Or does it simply use Sharepoint Services? We've
been evaluating SPS, but in the end have decided that Docushare from Xerox is
a better product for our document flow, but if Project server requires it
anyway, then I have to think again just due to monetary considerations.

Thanks

SharePoint Team Services is required, but that comes with Windows 2003
Server anyway. Portal Server can be integrated if wanted, but it's not
necessary.

I hope you don't mind a couple of minor corrections.

Windows SharePoint Services (which comes as a download for Windows 2003
Server users - not "with Windows 2003 Server") is the product that is
required.

Not SharePoint Team Services which is the older generation product (2001)
which is used with project server 2002 and which does not work (except under
the IIS 5.0 compatibility mode) with Windows 2003 Server.

[I, like you, am assuming this question is about Project Server 2003]
