Prerequisite for Workgroup mail

Can anyone tell me what I need to set up workgroup mail on a small (2
computers) office network. We have Win XP Home and Office 2000 Pro. I
understand how to change Outlook from IMO to CW but don't I need to set up
some kind of server or something?

It sounds like you need a mail server, but none is included with Outlook.
You can download a variety of inexpensive POP or IMAP servers from the
Internet (search for "POP server") and continue using Outlook in IMO mode.
