how is it done:
present an apparently seamless verticle or horizontal flow of slides

You could try the Push slide transition and make one slide go away and the
next one come in?

Ellen just did a tutorial on this. I assume that is where you saw it.

I don't know if she pulled it or I just can't find it. Either way, she does
just what Glen suggested - Push Transitions on backgrounds with limited
vertical elements.

I have read the advice below. Is there any way of producing a powerpoint and viewing it so it moves in a horizontal manner as opposed to vertically?
