Presentation has different layout on different computers

I've created a presentation w/PPT 2000 on my desktop and I've copied it to a
laptop. When I run the presentation some of my slides don't layout properly,
either the text is overlapping each other or has dropped down to another
line. Both computers are using the same resolution. Any ideas?

Hi there

Just a thought but it could be a missing font issue - if a computer doesn't
have the specified font in the presentation it replaces it with arial or
times new roman (for sans serif & serif fonts respectively) and that can
cause all sorts of formatting issues due to font sizes not being equivalent.

You can embed True type fonts (tools -> options -> save -> embed true type
fonts) but it explodes the size of the presentation which may or may not be
an issue for you.

If this isn’t the issue could you let us know what is installed on the other
PC – you mention you created the ppt in 2000 but not what was installed on
the laptop…
