presentation timing

I would like a 15 second time lag between each slide. Any ideas as to
how to achieve this without working through the whole slideshow?

By "lag time" do you mean that you want each slide to display for 15 seconds
before automatically advancing to the next slide? If so, that's accomplished
most easily in Slide Sorter View -- Just select all slides & set the Timing.

Specifics vary somewhat from one version of PPT to another but you've given
no indication of what version that might be.
