OK. Our entire graphic design group uses two monitors. One main big
monitor, and one smaller "pallete" monitor for application palletes.
Here's the insane part. When using the new PowerPoint, when we go to
"View Show", the main monitor shows the presenter tools, and the
little monitor shows the actual show. We do not want that. We want to
see the main show on the big monitor. In fact, we would like the
presenter tools to not show up at ALL when we click View Show.
So, I go to PowePoint help, and this is what it tells me. It's pretty
funny/sad in fact.
Set your monitors to be mirrored. (doesn't this remove the entire idea
behind a second monitor?!?!)
1. On the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
2. In the System Preferences dilog box, click Displays, and then
click the Arrangement tab.
3. Clear the Mirror Displays check box at the lower left of the
dialog box. (didn 't you just tell me to MIRROR them in the first
line? WTF?!?!)
If ANYone could explain this madness, or how to turn it off, that
would be great. As of right now none or our designers can view their
shows on their main monitor. Absolutely horrible.
Thanks to anyone for some insight!
