Preserve Hyphenation but Remove Spell Check

I work with documents that contain numerous quotes in Latin. Word sees these
as mistakes in the text. When I select the Latin word(s) and remove the spell
check for it, the hyphenation is removed. Apart from adding that Latin word
to the dictionary, is there a way to preserve the hyphenation.

This raises another question, can I create a custom Latin dictionary for Word?

Thank you in advance.

Automatic hyphenation is dictionary based. If you mark a word as not for
spell-check, Word has no idea how to syllabilize it for hyphenation. If you
enter optional hyphens manually, they stick even in non-spell checked word.
