preserving office reminders

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Entourage is hanging whenever the calendar is engaged. Based on other forum comments, I created a new identity and imported all data from the old identity. Everything seems to be working fine except for one thing: none of the office reminders created using the old identity were transferred. Is there any way to import these reminders into the new identity?

How did you export/import?

Are you sure they didn¹t import? You might have to reset the time.

Thanks for responding Diane. I exported all data in a .rge file. Then I
imported into the new identity. The office reminders were all "to do"
items,
not tasks. And the .rge export only exported tasks. So all the reminders
are apparently associated with the old data. I'm stumped. I'm thinking of
perhaps re-installing Entourage, but I'm worried that I'll lose the
reminders. Any ideas?

Re-installing does not fix issues like this. Try exporting again and select
Tasks only. Import into a new Identity to see what was exported. If it's
correct then delete that Identity and import into your new Identity.

It's possible the database corruption really did a number on your tasks. You
can try this in your "bad" Identity. Select to export just Calendar events
since you mentioned the Calendar hangs when engaged. During the export
process, select to delete after exporting. Now try importing that file back
into Entourage. I've seen corruption clear up after export/delete/import.

Rebuilding also might clean them up enough to export.

Let me know if any of these suggestions helps.
