Press too long on keyboard

W

word loser

I am working with word and I accidentally pressed on an alphabet for too long
and the word document starts to behave strangely. I cannot work in it with
the keyboard. I tried to use the mouse but it seemed that the block of text
was highlit for copying or deletion. My key board does not function. How
could I remove the effect of that lingering finger so that I can start
working again?

Try clicking on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility Options | Keyboard
tab | uncheck the "Use StickyKeys" and "Use FilterKeys" boxes | OK.
