pressing on new toolbar "insert scan" in Word should list all the scans stored in the data ..

Hello!

I often have to import/insert graphics/scans and instead
of clicking "insert / graphic / from file" I would like
to create a new toolbar: "insert scans".
Pressing on that button would list all the scans
stored in the data path definded in options.

Unfortunately I am only able to create the new toolbar
"insert scan", but pressing on that does only open
the "insert-rollbar" and not till "insert/graphic/from file".

What am I doing wrong?

Any tip is appreciated very much!

Hi Bill,

If you turn on the Drawing toolbar (View > Toolbars > Drawing) you'll find a
button that activates Insert Pictures From File. You can also make the
command a keyboard shortcut (Tools > Customize).

Insert Pictures From File uses the "current directory." So if you open a
picture from a directory it should keep using the same directory until you
open a picture from a different directory.

It is possible to write a visual basic macro that would insert pictures from
file from a directory that you specify in code so that it always uses your
preferred directory. You can assign macros to buttons, menus and/or keyboard
shortcuts.
