Pressing Ribbon Bar button clears value in ribbon bar DropDown

When I press a ribbon bar button, the value that was selected in a dropDown
control is cleared.
Please advise.

Can you describe your scenario in more detail? I really don't get what
steps you are taking and what the result is.
