Prevent change of language setting on change of keyboard layout

Dear all,

I'm using Windows XP Version 2002 / Powerpoint 2003 with SP2

My laptop has a German keyboard but I'm used to write English and so
it has English stickers on it. I just change to the German key
layout
to write, e.g., some funny ö's.

Now my problem: My language setting changes if I change the keyboard
layout. That's annoying.

How can prevent Powerpoint from changing my language setting?
