HI,
How can I prevent changes to an exsisting form. The form will be saved on a
shared network . Basically I only want a form to be saved once.

Hi Jerry,

If you think to prevent the form be redesigned by other users, you can
protect the form by checkint the checkbox in InfoPath Tools -> Form
Options -> General (tab) -> enable protection

Hi Darko,
I don't think I was specific in my question. After the form has been filled
out and saved I would like to prevent anyone from making future changes. I
see that your reccommendation will prevent changes to the template, however
not to future forms. Amy help is most appreciated.

OK Jerry, I understand now, but if the user have to save the filled-out form
in the folder, he must have write/modify privileges, so he can change the
form. But the wright solution for this king of problems are digital
signatures. The User will sign the form, or one section in the form, and
secure the content he entered. Again, the form (xml) can be changed, but then
the InfoPath will alert that the signed form or section is changed after it
was signed.

Here is some usefull article about digital signatures in InfoPath:
