Prevent copying of worksheets

I'm an accounting teacher that has assigned students to
prepare a financial statement projections project in
Excel. I would like to post a completed project on a web
site so that students could play with it and see what the
project is designed to do. However, I don't want them to
copy the worksheets; I want them to set the worksheets up
themselves. Is there any way to prevent users from
copying worksheets? I tried the protect workbook option
but it still allowed me to copy the worksheets.

Hi Dave:

There is no way to keep the worksheet from being copied. At a minimum, it
can be printed via a screen capture.

If you are trying to keep the *formulas* from being copied, you can protect
the sheet after setting the Hidden and Locked properties of the relevant
cells to True. The formulas will not then appear in the formula bar.

I'm not sure how you're posting to Web, but if you open the XL within
ASP.net, I don't think you can copy the formulas. At least I've just tried
one that I've embedded and it appears to paste values only. Maybe an option?
