prevent frontpage 2003 from automatically editing code

I have a webpage that contains some javascript code that relies on the
object tag to only call 1 specific version of Java Runtime Environment and
start the java applet accordingly, whoever once frontpage 2003 is used to
edit the webpage it strips all but 3 lines of java script code between the
<object> & </object> tags rendering the java script code non-functional.

How can I prevent frontpage 2003 from making the changes???

With the web open, click Tools > Page options and then the Authoring tab.
Check the box for Java Applets, click OK and then close and reopen the web.
