Hi,
I have created a Query using the wizard and I am using this query as the
master query for my users to search. I have a Switch Board form that control
all the files such as input data form, Search Query, etc. using a Macros.
For the Search query I had set up the macro to design view instead of data
view. So when the user click on the button in my switch board they are able
enter the design view of the search query that I had created and linked.
When the user type in the search criteria it shows the result. But I want
to prevent the user to change the setting of the search query design. Is
there a way of preventing users to save changes in the design view of my
search query. For example they de-select a colmn heading by unchecking the
radio button for the column heading. And another user or the next time the
person uses it the changes are saved for the Search Query. So instead of
having all the colunm heading with radio buttons checked the unchecked one
that was save will not show up again because the first user had save the
changes in the search query. But my problem is that if I prevent them to
save the changes in the query that means they will not be able to create a
report on their query. How do I solve this problem?
