Is it possible to prevent access database from joining to a particular work group information file.
Can any method prevent the workgroup admin from "joining" to a workgroup

I don't think so, but why does it matter? The generic user "Admin" should
be denied all privileges (and be assigned a password). If the person
doesn't not know any of the other UserName/Password combinations defined in
the mdw they won't be able to log into it anyway.

Sorry, the question really doesn't make sense.

Databases do not join workgroup files.

And, there is no point stopping someone selecting a new default workgroup
file. If your database has been properly secured, it can only be used in
conjuncion with the correct workgroup file. It just won't work with any
other workgroup file.

What are you actually trying to do?
