i recently started using one note for e-mail and when i e-mailed directly
from one note it automatically became an attchment to the e-mail.
when i ckicked on it my entire one note pages came up those i did not want
sent out. if someone has one note on the otherside CAN they read all of my
pages if they click on the attachment??? if so how do you prevent this. i
tried deleting the attachment but then the page i wanted to email did not
format correctly at the other end...

Only the selected page will be sent as an attached *.ONE file. Other
pages in the original *.ONE file will not be sent.

While you're addressing and sending the email, OneNote is still open.
The email is in the foreground of the application, but the other
folders/sections/pages/etc. in your OneNote hierarchy are available but
will not be sent in the email. If you click on the attached *.ONE file
(either in the email you're sending or in an email you've received), it
is automatically opened up in OneNote, and becomes visible as part of
your OneNote hierarchy.

Think of it this way: If you are editing a document in Word, and then
detach and open a Word document sent via email, both documents are open
in Word at the same time. That doesn't mean that the person who sent you
the second Word doc also had access to the first Word doc being edited.

I have the same question as you do. I saw the response to your question but I
do not find it to be the case. Have you found a solution to why all the notes
under a tab are sned rather than just the note you are in to be sent?
