preventing multimedia in email

Hi,

I get an email mailed to me with jokes occasionally from a subscription. ON
the recent one, music started playing immediately when I clicked on the
email. I't not only mystical to me how they did that (i can attach music in
outlook but not embed it!), but that seems kind of unsecure that windows
would exectute the music no problem, when it has built in blocking for not
showing pictures in email "to prevent identifying you" to their server.

is this an option i can turn off? OE6, xppro, where can I do this?
