Preventing normal.dot being saved

Hi all,

is there a way to prevent the saving of the normal.dot-
file on closing Word. I do not find any optionsetting to
do so, nor do I find a way to prevent this in the close-
command.

I'd like to achieve this, because I have a global template
that is being loaded at startup (to build a custom
commandbar) and that seems to modify the normal.dot. It is
not necessary however that these changes are being saved
(and to prevent errors I'd like to specify that there is
no need to save the normal.dot file).

Any ideas are welcome

Glenn

The only way to do this (short of ditching the misbehaving add-in) is to
check "Prompt to save Normal template" on the Save tab of Tools | Options
and then say no when prompted.
